This installation aims to arouse within the observer a feeling of frailty and imminent catastrophe. We are all together facing the same eventualities as a nation; suspended between heaven and earth.
The basket is made of a wide mesh iron lattice. This suggests to the observer that the basket can barely keep the eggs from falling, and in fact some eggs did fall in the course of time. Any movement can knock some of them to the ground and thus break. The basket is suspended from a thin pole, adding a probable point of failure thus accentuating the discomfort and tension.
