The sign I am holding is a verse from the bible literally meaning: “do not brag while wearing your battle vest before going to battle as the one who has earned this right coming back from battle and taking the vest off.” This to say - a person should not brag and boast of their intentions before they have proven to carry them out. This sends a clear message to our government: do not brag about your military prowess and success post October 7th before completing the mission that includes the safe return of the hostages!
The installation itself - ‘walking on eggs’ alludes to the families of the hostages who feel they cannot truly criticize their government and are therefore ‘walking on eggs’ to not alienate the government to their cause in the struggle for the release of their loved ones.
