When Yonatan Geffen died, some voices in our society claimed that all he was was a drug user and alcoholic disregarding his contribution to culture. Of course politics were involved as he was a peace activist and a staunch critic of most Israeli governments and the right wing in general. At his funeral his family praised him, his life, and his activities. The following month I layed on his grave one straw wreath on behalf of “the Israeli government of 2023”. I lit a candle in his memory and placed an Anemone from the batch that I made for Naomi Shemer's Waltz for the protection of plants installation.
